Fishing Report

The magical CQ weather continues with yet again another week of fantastic weather forecasted and what better time than around the full moon. Cool nights through into the early morning has been great for Blue Salmon, large Bream and quality Grunter in the Harbour and Calliope River system along with the Narrows. Awoonga has been fishing well through the afternoon into the night around shallow sun warmed bays we are even hearing numbers in the double digits from one session now, how good is that! Spanish Mackerel are still on the chew inshore and reports suggest trolled hard body lures such as the Nomad DTX minnow and the Samaki pacemaker have been the undoing of plenty of quality fish. Masthead Island and Rock Cod Shoals have also produced some excellent fishing with consistent captures of Red Throat Emperor, Coral Trout, Cobia, Tuskies and even the odd Red Emperor.
