Due to a bit of breeze of late most people have been confined to the estuaries and harbour but that hasn’t stopped them from catching quality fish. The narrows have started to pick up with the Blue Salmon moving in along with some schools of beautiful Grunter and Yellow Fin Bream. Black Jew have been getting caught in substantial numbers throughout the harbour and even into the estuaries with some fish pushing well over the 20kg mark. Fresh is best when it comes to Jew fishing so make sure to get yourself some Squid or Mullet fillet and get out there while they are still around. As well as using bait it doesn’t hurt to trow on a soft vibe, my personal favourite being the Samaki Vibelicious. The slack parts of the tide can produce some great catches of not just Jew but also Fingermark and Estuary Cod. So, when there is a break in the weather make sure to get out the front and have a go for a Spanish Mackerel as there are plenty still about especially around Rundle Island and Bustard Head.
