Fishing report - May 3rd 2018

There is a change of season coming which is quite exciting because that means we can hopefully get into a stable weather pattern as the temperature cools down. The Spanish Mackerel are a high target by plenty of the local anglers, with some quality captures showing up from Rundle Island and Rock Cod Shoals. They are being taken on deep diving hard bodies, troll baits as well as my personal favourite poppers and stick baits. The bottom bashing has been also quite good with some beautiful Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Tuskies and plenty more. The estuaries are continuing to fish well producing Mangrove Jack, Barramundi and now that it’s starting to cool down Grunter and Salmon. There should also be a run of Bream not too far away.

Pat’s Tackleworld wish you the best of luck to all that are fishing the Boyne Tannum Hook Up.
